Child Find Screening 2026

The Hoosac Valley Regional School District will be conducting Child Find screening for the 2026-2027 school year. All non-enrolled Adams and Cheshire 3- and 4-year-olds can be screened by appointment on March 23, 24, with a makeup day on the 25th. Screenings will be held in Adams on March 23rd and in Cheshire on the 24th and 25th.

The purpose of the screening is to identify children who may have a developmental disability in communication, cognitive/thinking, social/emotional or motor development and if that disability may impact their access to education.

Appointments can be made by calling the Student Services Office at 413-743-2939 ext. 1107, Monday–Friday between 8:00AM - 3:30PM by Friday, March 20, 2026. A Parent/Guardian must accompany the child in order to complete screening information forms.

This screening is not mandatory.

In addition, if you are a resident of Adams or Cheshire and you have concerns about your child ages 5-21, please contact the Office of Student Services at 413-743-2939 ext. 1107.

Note: If your child is already enrolled in the district you do NOT need to sign up for screening.
